my first steps

Last night Wyatt took his first steps..4! I was putting one of his toys together and heard the sweetest laugh. I looked up and Wyatt was not sitting on the floor he was standing up on his own with a toy in his hand. It was almost like he was trying to get my attention to show me what he was doing. He stood for the longest time and fell to his bottom and continued to laugh. He got right back up with no pulling up but just using his legs. I was so suprised, it is almost like it happened over night. Ryan noticed Sunday night he had done it once but not even close to how well he was last night. We went into the living room to play, he loves for us to sit across from each other and let him go back and forth. He has been "sloppy" walker for the last couple of weeks but he took very balanced steps last night. We are so excited! I know I am about to have my hands full with a walker but it is so exciting to see him accomplishing things and his excitement when he is awarded. Here are a couple of pictures I got to snap of him standing.

happy 30th birthday daddy!

Along with all the excitement yesterday, we also celebrated Ryan's 30th Birthday. 30! Where are the years going?! Ryan has had these two pictures of him when he was younger and thought that I would post them. Does Wyatt resemble Ryan? We get alot of different comments about who Wyatt looks like, he changes all the time. I think he has a good mixture of both of us. One thing I for sure know that Wyatt has of his daddy, is his golden brown eyes. I think they are gorgeous! Wyatt sure does love his daddy!

White Christmas

Christmas Part I

Our Christmas kicked off this past weekend while some of my family were in town for Wyatt's birthday party. Wyatt got TONS of toys that day and we were pretty worn out with all the opening gifts part. I have put a few toys upstairs in a closet to take out through the year so he doesnt have so much at one time. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good idea and suggestion I got from others!

1 year check up

Wyatt had his one year check up this morning and I am happy to report that he is doing great. He got a few shots, which he hates but he was fine. My little man has not changed much since his last appointment at 9 months. He has only gained an ounce, so he is 21lbs 8oz and 31" long. We were a little concerned but the doctor said he is fine as long as he is eating fine. He loves baby food and slowly starting to come around to "people" food. There are certain things he likes and then things he doesnt. I will put whatever I can find in front of him to just get him use to it. He sniffs anything before he puts it into his mouth. This child is very different! He is now drinking all whole milk which was a very easy transition. We were told that he is drinking too much but since he is picky it will help him in the pound department. We also got a referral to see a eye specialist for his tear duct. It is still clogged and were told that once he reached one and if it was not cleared up they would refer us. We go on Jan. 18th and I hope that they decide to do something. My poor baby constantly has tears and mucous coming out of his eye. We are constantly wiping it and it always looks so red around his eye. I live on Aquaphor, love that stuff! Other than that little man is great and we are just waiting for the day to take his first steps!

11 months & 3 weeks

It is so hard to believe that our little boy will be one in just a week and two days. This year has flown by! Your parents always tell you that you grow up too fast or cherish every moment, and they are right. You don't understand until you have one of your own. I am so thankful for Wyatt and to be his mommy. He is my little man!
