Smile!!

Here is a somewhat picture of Wyatt smiling. It is hard sometimes to get him to smile but he is starting to do it more and more. I just never have my camera in hand at the time and by the time I get it, it is too late :( So, Sunday Ryan and I went to Costco to print some pictures and there was one Cannon Rebel left on the shelf and purchased it for me as an early (real early) birthday gift. Now, I hope I can capture those moments at the right time. Hopefully I will get the hang of it over the weekend.

Two Month Checkup!

Wyatt had his two month checkup today with his pediatrician. He is doing great with developement and motor skills. His current measurements are 12lbs. 12oz in weight, 24" long and his head is 15.5". He is a growing boy!!! He also got his first set of shots, it was not fun at all for both of us. The nurse made me hold his arms down and I did not like to see him screaming. I have never heard a scream or cry like this before. It broke my heart, after just a couple of seconds of holding him and calming him down he was fast asleep. I had a little bit of help of a bottle he didnt finish right before his appointment! He loves to have someone talk to him and he will smile, coo and try to talk back to you. He is absolutely adorable, it kills me to go back to work tomorrow but I know he will be fine and well taken care of. His feeding and sleeping pattern are still the same, doctor said once he starts eating 8oz, he should start sleeping through the night. I am waiting for that day!!! Here are a couple of pictures from our weekend with my parents, they went back home today and will come back to visit in April. Wyatt would like to thank his grandma and grandpa for all the clothes and books he recieved for Valentine's Day. Mom, would like to thank you for everything as well!! :) I just hope that he will not outgrow his Easter outfit by then. Well, Wyatt is exhausted right now and is in and out of sleep. I wonder if he will sleep through the night tonight???

Can't Resist

Here are a couple of latest pictures of Wyatt. Recently he has been giving us this look that we can't help but laugh and smile at him. He will stick his bottom lip out and he looks like he is pouting. I would have him on my chest over my shoulder and he will lift his head back and look directly at you and stick out that bottom lip. Also, if we are changing his diaper he will give us the look as well. I absolutely love it and will give him whatever he wants. Most of the time he does it when he is hungry. He has been doing really well lately, sleeping in his pack n play through the night for the most part. He will sometimes only get up once through the night, every night is a little different. He has been eating every 3 hours now and is taking in 6oz. He suprised me yesterday afternoon and had 8oz. That might be why he slept from 5p.m. until 3a.m. I woke him up around 7p.m. to change him and see if he was hungry but he only maybe had an ounce. Every night is a little different, I think once he starts daycare next week we all three will be on a better schedule. It may take a couple of weeks but I think it is going to help out. It was hard trying to get him and us on a schedule before then because things are going to change starting next week. Wish us luck!!! We have another busy but relaxing weekend ahead of us. My mom is here now and my dad will be arriving this afternoon to visit for the rest of the weekend, then Monday is Wyatt's 2 month check up. I will have lots of pictures and updates to post. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Like Father...Like Son!!!

Ryan loves to fish and hasnt been in a little while but the time of year is back in swing. Wyatt recieved a couple of gifts from his grandma and grandpa Adams. He has his very first tackle box and fishing gear. He doesn't have a fishing rod yet, I wanted to wait until I knew what characters he is into before then. Plus, it will be a couple of years before I let him go out on a boat. I can see it now...Wyatt will have floats wrapped all around him. I am looking forward to seeing Wyatt fishing with his daddy. I hope he likes it and it will be great bonding time between father and son. I was able to capture a picture of Wyatt holding onto "Mr. Bass". He is starting to swing at objects and tries to talk to them. It is so adorable, we are still waiting for the day he laughs out load.

Over the Weekend

We had a very busy weekend, Wyatt went to his first birthday party to help celebrate for Walker. All the kids were so adorable and we got a group picture on the couch. Poor Wyatt got wacked in the head by Walker (to his right) but Wyatt shed no tears, just looked at him like what was that! We had a great time, makes me want to start planning for Wyatt's first birthday. I will have to think of something creative for him since his birthday is the week of Christmas along with his daddy's on Christmas Day. My mom will arrive here tomorrow morning to visit with Wyatt for the week. She was here for his birth and was able to visit for a short time until he was taken to the NICU, so this is going to be a nice suprise for her. My dad is following in on Friday to help us celebrate her birthday over the weekend. We have a busy week ahead of us, but some good times. I will be sure to post alot of pictures, I really would love to take some with us as a family but mommy needs a "makeover" before then. I have set up a "mommy is going back to work" appointment for Friday. I am really looking forward to that! Well, Wyatt has his two month check up next Monday and I will be sure to post the latest...sure his will be well over 13lbs. He is already in 3 month clothes and has outgrown some smaller 3 month clothes. He is growing so fast!!!

6 Weeks Old

Today Wyatt is 6 weeks old, I can't believe how fast the time is going by. A quick update on how he is doing, he still has his moments but you can tell his digestive system is maturing. I guess this due to how many explosions I change a day! I am hoping this is the case but we still have a little ways to go. They say colic just goes way over night or anytime. But, he has been doing better. He is still eating about 5 oz each feeding usually between an hour and 45 min. to 2 hours. I try to hold him off till closer to three but it is impossible sometimes. When he is hungry he lets you know and you better feed him. He has the same sleeping pattern, he goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 11:45-12:45 and then again at 2:45a.m.-3:45a.m. The last couple of early mornings he gets fussy but I get him calmed down and back to sleep. Ryan and I get up real early in the mornings so we can adjust. I guess it just depends what time and how much he actually takes before he goes to bed. He HATES his pacifier and I have been trying to get him to use it to have something to suck when he shows signs of hunger. I am not trying to starve my child, but he fools us..well me! He HAS to have the bottle in his mouth to fall asleep, he fights with me if I try to get him to use a pacifer. So, sometimes when he thinks he is hungry he just wants something in his mouth to fall asleep. Of course, I get him a bottle beacause that is what he wants but then I waste so much formula most of the time. This week we are going to work on that so he won't give the daycare a hard time come around two weeks. I only have two weeks with him until I go back to work, I must say I am ready to go back to work but then I am not. I love that he is only going to be about 2 mintues away within walking distance from my work. I can go there anytime to check on him, and I am looking forward to him being in the same class as Olivia. Other than that, I am sure he has exceeded 10lbs. I wouldnt be suprised if he is 12lb.s come the 15th. He has his 2 month check up and he will be getting a series of shots. Wish me luck!! Oh, he also loves to stare at the ceiling and the fans. We got this adorable ocean wonder playmat and he rather lay on the bed and stare at the ceiling. I guess I will save it for baby #2. Maybe he will enjoy it more when he can see more colors and make out more shapes. Well, hope everyone had a great weekend. I have attached a couple of pictures, I was able to get him to sleep yesterday with a pacifer instead of a bottle. I got overjoyed, and the next time he tricked me he got a bottle.
WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO CONGRAGULATE SHAUN AND MELISSA ON THE ARRIVAL OF BABY #2. WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR YOU TWO AND CANT WAIT TO MEET HER/HIM. OH, I CALL SEPT.19TH ON THE BIRTH.
