8 Months!!

Our sweet boy is 8 months old! Where has the time gone? It amazes me how quickly time is going by and how much he changes each month. He is such a happy little boy and you can definitely tell he knows who is mommy and daddy are. I look forward to the end of each work day to go pick him up, I just walk through the door and he is just so exicted and beaming. Yesterday, one of his teachers was feeding him and he just kept lifting his head and trying to watch me. It melts my heart!!! I have been very blessed to not have the feeling that I am missing out on anything with me working full time. God answers prayers! He seems to do everything new when he is with us especially on the weekends. Except his teachers did tell me that he tried to give them kisses and that kind of did tear me up..but maybe he is a ladies man! :) Wyatt is such a big boy now, we are guessing he is around 21.5-22 pounds and about 30" long. He is in 12 month and some 18 month shirts. His upper body is wider/larger and he has this tiny little waste. He is still sleeping through the night and is eating at the same schedule. He loves to be on his tummy, rolling around and we are almost crawling. I definitely think he will be by his 9 month post. He loves to stand and jump on your lap, he loves it when we walk him around the house while getting a million kisses from Tyson trying to walk. He can say da-da, ma-ma and ba-ba & a bunch of other gibberish. He doesnt know the meaning but it is nice to hear the words. Oh, best of all he just stares and smiles when you sing to him. Of course, mommy and daddy need to come up with more songs and maybe sing them in the exact words instead of trying to remember and making up a line...or two! We have no teeth yet, I dont know when this little boy will ever get one. Wyatt will be promoted to the Infant II class on Monday, nothing much will change besides no more swing or bouncers which he hardly uses now. He will go down to 2 bottles at school and eating solid foods while he is there for breakfast, lunch and a snack. He will be with other babies his age and they will be on the same level such as crawling, pulling up and somewhat trying to walk. I am hoping this will motivate him to get on the move. He already plays on the floors with other babies so it will be nice to see them all moving around together. Wyatt will be going on his first beach trip next month right before his 9 month check up. We are so excited to take him and hope that he will love it. Until then, I will try to keep more updated on posting.

when the sun goes down

Sunday evening we took Wyatt and Tyson outside to get some fresh air. It has been so hot outside that we can't handle staying outside for too long. Wyatt gets these awful heat rashes as well, so I like to keep him inside but everyone needs some fresh air every now and then. The birds are always going crazy in our backyard, Wyatt was trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. He would not take his eyes off the trees and if he did he was watching Tyson run around. 0 comments

almost there...

CRAWLING!!! Well, I thought that Wyatt would have been crawling by 8 months but he is pretty close to being there. He will crawl about two to three steps and fall down. He gets right back up. He loves to go back and forth from the crawling position to sitting up. I have already started baby proofing but we are definitely going to need a baby gate here soon for the stairs. He has not really tried to pull up on any of his toys except trying to climb on top of me, Tyson and pillows so I am guessing that he is getting there.

Loving on Tyson

Wyatt is really starting to take interest in Tyson these days. He loves to watch and talk to him. If Tyson is in his sight, Wyatt will laugh and just smile at him. It is so cute and I look forward to seeing Wyatt chasing Tyson around the house!

7 Months!!!

Wyatt is 7 months old!!! Can't believe how fast the time is flying by, soon I will be planning his 1 year birthday. He is such a sweet and happy little boy! Each month he changes so much in his personality. It is almost like he wakes up a completely different baby but still him. He still loves his jumperoo and we are purchasing him a walker so hopefully he will enjoy that as well. He loves to roll all over the place, it is nice to see your little boy rolling around when he wouldn't lay on his stomach at all for the longest time. Now, he loves to be on his stomach and either watching TV or just hanging out. He even tries to drink his bottle while on his stomach but we don't let that happen. He loves to chew! He will chew on anything that is in front of him, even your nose! We haven't seen any teeth yet but his gums definitely look like there is something going on. Hopefully there will be a tooth or two breaking through soon. He is sitting up very well, he doesn't fall over unless he gets startled or playing with Tyson. We don't have a crawler yet, which I have been told is a good thing but I want to see him reaching those milestones. I think he will be crawling by 8 months. He is completely swing free!!! YAY! We stopped using it about the end of June for naps during the day and daycare has stopped as well. His teachers said he has been doing great and I am so happy since I was worried that he would depend on it for his daily naps. He is eating baby solid foods and loves anything with Bananas in it, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Green Beans and Mixed Veggies. Ryan started to give him Gerber Graduate Puffs this week and Wyatt isn't to sure about them but we are working on it. He drinks out of a sippy cup most times but loves to chew on the nipple more than anything. He drinks four 6oz bottles a day. He is sleeping from 7-7:30 p.m. to about 5:30a.m. He takes two naps a day on average but sometimes will take three short naps. They are never over an hour long. Other that that, he is doing great and we look forward to seeing what new things he does next month. Oh, he should be a little over 20lbs. We took him to the doctor two weeks ago and he was 19lbs. 14oz. I couldn't tell you how long he is, but he is long! He will not go back to the doctor until his 9 month check up, which should be in September right before our beach trip!!

My two loves!

These two below are my absolute happiness in life! I love watching these two together play and laugh back & forth. Wyatt is 100% a daddy's boy without a doubt. He lights up and gets so excited when daddy walks into the room. He loves to play with Ryan, he does love to play with mommy as well but he really likes to play rough with his daddy. Not, that Ryan plays really rough but alot rougher compared to just playing with toys on the floor with him..like I do. There are times when he wants to be snuggled and held and that is where he is a mommy's boy. I look forward to the years of watching these two together!

Yellow Ducky

I completely forgot that we had this yeallow duck tub that Wyatt recieved for Easter. He is definitely big enough for it now. Bath time has become more pleasant and fun these days. Wyatt disliked bath time and to be wet and naked. He gets upset most of the time when you change his diaper or clothes unless you are acting foolish while doing it, if it keeps him from crying then mommy and daddy will be fools!!

Our 4th of July Weekend!

This year was Wyatt's first 4th of July holiday and we did what we have been doing for the last three years....packed up the car and headed west to Oklahoma City. We visited my family and relaxed as much as we could. Wyatt got to meet his uncle Keith for the very first time. I was really happy that my grandmother finally got to hold and kiss on Wyatt. She was here for his arrival back in Decemeber but only saw him for a very short time and the next morning he was sent to the NICU. Of course, he was spoiled by my parents! Thank you mom and dad for everything and we can't wait to see you guys in a couple of months! We love you!!

Oklahoma City Zoo!!

We went to Oklahoma City over July 4th weekend to visit my parents along with my grandmother and brother Keith. My other brother Ken and his family drove as well from Georgia to visit all at the same time. On Friday we went to the zoo and it was one of the best zoo's I have ever been to. They had so many exhibits, an awesome "kids zoo zone" and any animal you can think of. We will for sure be visiting next summer when Wyatt can really enjoy and see the animals. I look forward to chasing him around the zoo and hear him tell me what animals we are looking at and make their "sounds"!!

Thank You!!!

I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Morgan! If anyone has ever thought about how cute my backround or anything with the blog design it is because of her. She has helped me sooo much. Today I got on the blog while waiting for Ryan to get out of the store and I was a little confused at first. I thought for a second I was on someone else's blog but it was all my stuff and what not, if you know me this is typical!! I texted her asking if she changed it and to my suprise she did. She said she emailed me letting me know but it must have gone to my work email. But anyway, I just wanted to take a minute to say thanks alot and I really appreciate it. You know you dont have to ask, I always love the designs you put up and you keep me updated!!

6 Month Portraits...

Today we went to Botanical Gardens to take some 6 month pictures of Wyatt. It was SO hot and we could not handle the humidity and heat. We were in and out so quickly, I wish we could have walked around the entire park. I think we will wait until right before fall when it is not too hot and not too cold. I think they turned out pretty well for us taking them ourselves. I just wanted to get a few good pictures and I was able to get some great pictures, I loved the bench pictures but Wyatt was a little wobbly on the benches!!!

6 Months!!!

Wyatt had his 6 month check up this week and daddy was able to come along with us this time around. Wyatt is currently 19lbs and 27" long. He is doing great with his milestones but his pediatrician said we need to work with him more on tummy time. He can roll from his back to his stomach but can not roll from his stomach to his back. He is sitting up pretty well, he is still a little wobbly if there are alot of things going on around him. He loves his jumperoo. He is doing great with baby food, he likes green beans, carrots, bananas, applesauce and sweet potato. He does not like peas... neither does Ryan! We have tried the meats but I think we are going to pass on those, they smell awful and do not look very yummy. I think he would rather wait for some chicken nuggets when he gets older! I have talked to several people about the meat baby food and there is no brand that is better than the others and they did not feed their babies the meat as well so that helped. Other than that he is doing great and changes by the day. He is very shy and quite when we are out but when we get home he lets it all out. Ryan and I are both the same so I can see where he gets it from.
